School Board Candidate Election Forum

The Maple Ridge Elementary School P.T.O. (Parent Teacher Organization) will sponsor a Candidate Election Forum on May 5, 2008 from 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. in the Maple Ridge Cafeteria, 8537 650 West, Pendleton. All nine candidates that are vying for four spots on the South Madison Community Schools’ School Board have been invited to participate. The format of the forum will be as follows:

Candidates will be given one minute to introduce themselves.

Candidates will choose three questions from the attached list to answer; 90-seconds will be allowed for each answer.

A Moderator and Timer are assigned to ask questions and ensure candidates adhere to time limits.

Candidates are asked to provide a Fact Sheet that includes: name, age, address, education, occupation, spouse’s name and occupation, children’s names and ages/grades, years of residence in SMCS, and a written statement (75 words or less) of why voters should elect him/her.

Please note that voters have the opportunity to vote for all candidates regardless of the district/area that they represent or live in.
