AN AFTERNOON WITH THE CLASSICS
The Pendleton Community Library, 595 East Water Street, invites you to spend the afternoon with old and new friends watching the dramatic film that paralleled the real-life relationship between Henry Fonda and his daughter, Jane.
This will be a chance for you to enjoy Henry Fonda and Katharine Hepburn on the big screen in their only performance together.
Henry Fonda plays Norman Thayer, a cranky 80-year-old professor, who is taking his annual vacation to his New England summer cottage with his wife Ethel, played by Katharine Hepburn. Their solitude is interrupted when the couple’s daughter Chelsea (Jane Fonda) arrives with her fiancé and his son, Billy.
This classic movie event will be held on Thursday, June 14th at 2:00 p.m. We’ll pop the popcorn!
