If you’ve got teens or pre-teens, chances are you’ve heard them talking about My Space. But, what is it, really? And, what are your kids doing with it? Learn more about My Space and other social networking sites at the Pendleton Community Library on Saturday, March 8th at 10:00 a.m. when the library will present Navigating the Social Web. This moderated panel discussion is for anyone who wants to understand more about the pros and cons of social networking sites, such as My Space and Facebook. Ryan Hupfer, a graduate of PHHS and author of My Space for Dummies will serve on the panel, alongside Chris McKain, the Guidance Counselor at Pendleton Heights Middle School, and Lynn Hobbs, Director of the Pendleton Community Library. There will also be a representative from law enforcement who can address specific safety concerns that parents may have. This is a unique opportunity that you will not want to miss! For planning purposes, RSVPs are appreciated. Call the library at 778-7527 for more information or to RSVP.
